Not going to say that the occasional bugs are fun, but you and the Dev team are doing a great job developing a great app and supporting the growing community.

Had the same issue. I uninstalled/reinstalled and then gave it a little time to sync and I was back in business.

Help installing the server and the software

Honestly, if you don't know how to set up and maintain a server then this is probably not the tool for you because at some point in time something's going to go wrong and if you don't know how to fix it yourself, you're gonna be out of luck. I would highly recommend learning your server of choice (Linux, Windows, NAS, etc...) and then coming back here.

Can I remove files from upload directory?

I have deleted those files without issue... though I did have to sudo rm them. They were all corrupt versions of files in my library.

The easiest way to find your path and make sure things are working correctly is to use the file manager. It operates much like Windows explorer, but since there's many different files managers you'd have to find it on the menu first. I'm running a Flavor of Ubuntu called Mate that runs a different desktop, more similar to older windows. Definitely look into those if you stick with Ubuntu as your distro of choice for the time being.

You'll be able to do it, but it will be a learning curve so if you don't plan on learning and using Linux it might be good to find an alternate solution. If you decide to try Linux, I would use a version that has a GUI. "Server" versions are command line only, and while light on resources, if you aren't familiar it can be a bit much to configure some things and verify they're doing what you think they are. What are you trying to install Linux on and what distro did you try?

Yes, you can hide faces via web interface. Mouse over and click the triple dot.

Out of storage (Ubuntu Server)

Make sure your immich folder is located under your mount point, (either /mnt/ or /media/) and proper permission are set on that folder.
