Critical Error: Guide for fixing
Step 1: Update windows and your graphics card drivers to the newest versions. Step 2: Hide ALL Microsoft processes when disabling startup programs, also make sure to recheck VGC in Run (Windows + R) to ensure everything works. NOTE: YOU MAY HAVE ISSUES WITH FAN LIGHTING LIKE ME AND YOU MAY NEED TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL YOUR FAN LIGHTING ASUS ONLY SO FAR! Step 3: Restart your computer and launch Valorant. Step 4: By now, when you launch Valorant it should give you an error message of Val: -81, if it doesn't work retry all the previous steps, if it does your half way done. Step 5: Restart your computer once again and relaunch Valorant, if Valorant works your clear, if it doesn't proceed to step 6. Step 6: Uninstall and Reinstall Valorant. Go into Start -> Settings -> Apps -> Locate Riot Vanguard and Valorant and Uninstall. After you successfully uninstalled it, restart your computer once again to be safe (not required but recommended). Step 7: Open the Valorant app icon either on your desktop or in your task bar, it will ask you to download Valorant again, and it will ask for you to sign in. If for some reason you cannot download Valorant by the app icon or your taskbar, go to official Valorant website and redownload it. Step 8: You will be asked to restart your computer by Valorant, and from there it should work! If this doesnt help, reach out Riot support for more troubleshooting steps. If nothing helps then do this: Open Valorant, then close it after it crashes. Now go to Event viewer: Win + R Search for eventvwr Go to Windows Logs -> Application now check for the latest errors Faulting application path: bad_module_info Faulting module path: mdnsNSP. dll Now find this file using file explorer. I found it in Both Program File and Program file x86 under Audinate. mdnsNSP. dll was used by Dante Discovery in my case. I went to Task Manager -> Services -> then I stopped Dante Discovery Went to Control Panel -> Uninstall Programs -> then uninstalled Dante Discovery
