Steam restart follies
a week or so ago Steam tried to install a gamepad firmware update (its unclear to me whether this update was for my dualsense or for something internally), however this update seemingly failed and has caused some issues. If i launch a game steam will suddenly try to restart, my game will keep running and the client will never actually restart properly, but it does make the client completely unusable until i kill it and restart, to which it'll remain usable until i start a game and it'll try to restart the client again. I'm not sure if this is actually caused by this update but is there a way to completely reset the steam client so everything is gone, without breaking anything?

Sleep issue in plasma desktop
When my steam deck oled goes to sleep due to inactivity in desktop mode, the screen will go blank as expected, however if i then press the power button to resume, the screen never turns back on, i can hear the controller chime, so its supposed to wake up, but it doesnt, this install isnt even that old so i have no clue what could cause this.

[Solved] KVMFR module doesnt load correctly on boot
kvmfr module doesnt appear to be loaded correctly on boot
contents of
/etc/dracut.conf.d/kvmfr.conf
contents of /etc/modprobe.d/kvmfr.conf
ive been able to verify that the kvmfr module is loaded on boot, as lsmod reports
however /dev/kvmfr0
is not present on boot, when unloading the module and doing sudo modprobe kvmfr static_size_mb=64
its loaded and usable with looking glass.64 replies

(solved) firefox flatpak refuses to download any files
hi there, im trying to use the firefox flatpak (have had to resort to using firefox in an arch container, not ideal since i massively prefer flatpaks) and whenever i try to save a file with the "save as" dialogue, the dialoge never appears. firefox acts as if nothing happened, i have no clue what causes this or how to fix it, tried to look up a solution online and there's a surprising lack of people using firefox a a flatpak and even less so people with this particular issue.
should add, librewolf flatpak does not have this problem, its able to open the dialogue just fine
these issues also dont seem to arise on my steam deck, also running bazzite
