28m in US in need ofa wardrobe overhaul
I have begun to realize my attitude towards fashion and its functionality has shifted a lot throughout the years. In college I delved deep in to r/mfa and wore a lot of button up with ties. As I realized I looked like a dork I began to dress according to the basic bastard. This held up well through college and into post grad life. As I’ve grown and interests have changed I have started wearing more outdoorsy and functional clothes as I’ve begun spending significantly more time in the outdoors.. The style has been described as granola and even a little dirtbag esque. A lot is similar to what is seen in the NPR/Subarucore inspo album. I am very happy with my current style because I think it include much of personality and life focus. As I’ve grown as a professional and am teetering upon my 30’s and becoming a father I would like to see my wardrobe elevate. I want to be able to to meet my business casual wardrobe requirements while still retaining the outdoors style and personality. I really don’t know where to begin with this but I have around $1000. One of the first items I’m looking to purchase are a pair of Blundstones All Terrain boots in all black. What clothes would you recommend I purchase? In terms of stature I am 6’2 around 230.
