How do i improve hopper performance?

I have a server and its kinda laggy and one of my suspects for the lag is the hoppers on my server since there are alot. any ways to optimise them?

Anyways anyone knows a java program which is a proxyprotocol reverse proxy?

dont ask why i just need such a programm... Explanation: Basicly a software based on java that send join data over haproxy to the actual server I need a programm in java that turns every connection into a proxyprotocol/haproxy request to a external waterfall server
