Can I use gamescope-session on the integrated graphics on my laptop?
It appears I can’t do this because the versions shipping with game mode are different to the standard versions. I’ll mark this as solved because I’m asking for what maybe impossible.

HDMI doesn’t work on specific monitors nvidia.
I’ve tried multiple things, and the fix seems to be set to a non 16:9 resolution (1280 x 720 didn’t work but 1280 x 800 did) and then switching to 1080p and lowering the refresh rate to one of the decimal place ones (for some reason 60, 120, 144, 165 hz didn’t work but 119.x did)

Wayland is the future. You can use xorg, it'll appear the same, you might even find it to be better

This Nvidia update has been shambolic to say the least. HDMI only works for me on the TV, so I work on Windows.

I had a similar problem with text editor. Using flat seal, I turned off wayland and fallback to X11, and enabled X11.

You're right, trying it with the Fedora 39 one also gives me nvidia-open even though the open modules only arrived this year.
