Ok I could fix it by moving
.config/kwinrc and .config/kwinoutputconfig.json to .config/kwinrc.bak and .config/kwinoutputconfig.json.bak and restarting sddm24 replies

I have the exact same problem. I could only identify that this is happening with a specific screen. I may have activated HDR but cannot get the option anymore. anytime I plug the screen wayland freeze
