Can't connect to a friend's game. Stuck at the lobby, says "Waiting for the host to start the game."

Yes, they sent the invite through the shift+tab overlay. I also accepted it through there, but it didn't change much

I did, yes, through Steam. My friend and I both verified the integrity of our files, and I still can't connect to their lobby

@nobility Did you restart your game, or your entire computer? Are there any changes you made to your game, like verifying the game files?
