KDE HDMI signal dropped when app goes fullscreen

New install - nothing happens after grub
Ugh, Samsung tv was just not exposing the 100Hz unless I put it back on game mode. Thanks @wolfyreload !

Both the gui and xrandr are reporting 30hz max

I tried with an old HDMI cable and it worked!
I manually switched the display resolution to 3840x2160 and switched back to the "good" cable, but I can't seem to get a higher refresh rate than 30hz
