the errors above seem to not occur when the dongle is connected to the red (USB 3.2 I believe) ports on the motherboard
and does not keep trying to connect constantly

unable to enumerate USB device is the last one before it pauses for a moment and continues to loop errors

after updating and rebooting it very very briefly showed 8bitdo controller in lsusb
