8bitdo ultimate 3 wireless controller works on windows and on steamdeck but not bazzite

my wireless 8bitdo controller isn't even recognized by bazzite for some reason, does not appear with lsusb neither using the 2.4GHz dongle nor directly with type C cable works flawlessly on steamdeck through a hub and on windows with the 2.4GHz dongle I tried the front panel USB as well as directly on the MOBO (all the ports work for my wireless KB and mouse) I don't even know what troubleshooting steps to do now... some assistance is very appreciated πŸ™‚

I realize this doesn't necessarily help you, but my wired 8-bit Do only works right after it has been connected. As soon as it powers off for any reason, it has to be unplugged and reconnected before it will work again.
