No - I don't have any updates pending. Latest I can see installed is 560-31 It usually happens automatically Can I do it manually?

Seems specific to Flatpaks. Bottles and Heroic are having issues, but Steam is totally fine

I don't recall having to do anything else - just get adb / fastboot installed and you can adb sideload and flash with fastboot as normal

Create a distrobox container with terminal rather than boxbuddy and add the --root flag https://github.com/89luca89/distrobox/blob/main/docs/usage/distrobox-create.md#:~:text=The%20--root%20flag%20will,also%20root%20outside%20the%20container!

You can make it work on normal distrobox containers but it's a pain in the ass setting permissions for it to access USB ports
