samuel - Complete beginner here - would anyone ...

So basically if I set the encoder as slot '1' in VIA, program it, and then remap that key back to 7, the encoder will still function as I've programmed it? Thanks for the help by the way!

So I've managed to get it working now, I couldn't seem to find any firmware floating around that would work properly with my MCU and I'm still having issues mapping the rotary encoder in VIA, the 'layouts' tab doesn't seem to recognise that I have my encoder in the first switch slot on the top row
