Trying to get a baseline…
I have been slowly trying to get my mind around fashion and build my personal style. I think i have come to the realization that I just dont have a good groundwork of basics. My partner tries to help (and she has great fashion) but I think its just tough given it’s a different gender and its hard to ‘tell’ someone Their style.
Here are basically all of my clothes: https://imgur.com/a/d8o2PPc My partner recently helped me do a major cleanout of a lot of the ill-fitting and items I never actually wore, thats why I have so few cloths.
About me: I do a lot of outdoor activities and I love to tinker and build stuff. This lends me to inevitably get all if my cloths dirty and keeping my clothes clean is a major challenge I have in my personal fashion journey. I would say I tend to a mountain casual style, but would like to branch more into sharp looking responsible ‘adult’ fits as well as more casual but stylish streetwear My goals: -A simple wardrobe where I can just grab things and there’s a decent chance they will look good -I value comfort above all else, also durability it huge for me -A seasonal wardrobe that I can rotate once a year to keep my styles fresh and reduce the decision fatigue I’m hoping to get some general guidance and advice about ways to move forward with my journey and set myself up for success. I’m not just looking for recommendations on specific items to buy (although I welcome that!) but I want to learn how to start thinking about color, fit, silhouette, etc. I have read a lot of basic guides about style but it just never seems to materialize in my wardrobe. Anyways thanks for any advice or recommendations yall may have !!!
