Steam Games get wrong input with 8bitdo Ultimate

oh im sorry, xpad has not released an update to this, and the issue i was referring to is on the steam-for-linux page: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/8132 this is still open, however, i can report this was eventually resolved for me after updating firmware, i am not sure what else to say. I'm using bazzite on all my devices with several 8bitdo ultimate controllers interchangeably on x-input. Still, give fw update a try, and give d-input a try.

this was already addressed, im surprised you still have this issue. I updated firmware on the controller, and soon after xpad released a fix for this problem as well. Otherwise, stick to dinput on 8bitdo, the problem is when 8bitdo is set to x-input and steam input is not only repeating the x-input, the raw controller input is bleeding into the game at the same time, resulting in double inputs registering. Dinput + steam input is a bandaid solution, the only thing you miss on is some games may have rumble stop working

have you tried deleting the shadercache and then running ujust fix-reset-steam i recommend renaming your shadercache folder: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/shadercache.old run the fix-reset-steam, and then depending on what you have do the following: - bazzite desktop: do a cold boot (shut your PC down completely and then bring it back up) - bazzite-deck: since it tends to boot into gamescope session by default, run steam again after ujust fix-reset-steam otherwise it might get in a bad state and i wouldn't know how to recover from that. After steam restarts, do not run any game, just do a cold boot (shutdown complete, and then boot back up)

Steamdeck OLED - No HDR toggle?

HDR toggle only shows up on non-steam deck hardware, like it shows up on my HTPC, on steam deck oled it is technically enabled but does not engage until a game turns on HDR

you might just be better off ripping them to your hard drive, Jeff Geerling has a video series about this topic, i'd refer you check his Youtube channel, otherwise i don't really see the point to jumping through all these hoops to get blurays working

it kind of implies that you need dumped keys for these to work, i don't remember playing blurays was this much of a hassle :\

you follow these instructions: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Blu-ray besides the arch-unique instructions, these should work just as well on fedora, though note the blurb about bluray drm
