“slazing” the regions ended up killing them because simply put, those that seed often dont care for 24/7 conquest, and if they do want that, those players can just go to the NA/EU official :joe_shrug:
Your best bet is probably https://discord.com/channels/303681520202285057/1301797423886110790 which I know isn’t an ideal solution, but given the state of the game its either that or nothing until the update.

Within the regions though - most have given up. Those that remain don’t want to play conquest all the time (which is what the community Asia and OCE regions are outside of the private competitive server).
Opening a new community server wont fix how QM works either. It will always queue official first, and since most people on officials vote conquest.. you can guess why those not seeking conquest gameplay have no incentive to seed it.
You want people hopping to SEA/OCE you gotta give them a reason to, this includes those from outside those regions. Devs have made it clear they want an official at all costs

I’ve been pushing upping ping limits for that reason. Bobs has a high ping limit that allows most people to play. E4gl sees people from OCE and Asia playing it

So either they use auto scaling (rarely works in anyones favor with this player size) or you hope people queue the right size
Also you can’t just shift prio to community because prio will official first outside of when the official is down, so… :eShrug:

Wont happen. I already pushed for this in general and we have to stick to specific maps sizes per specific player cap sizes. Without going modded, wouldn’t be allowed.

I can speak on this since that’s the exact case for bobs. We have a rush/domi 32, domi only 64, a conq/invasion rotation for 127, and a domi/fl rotation for another 127.
You can probably take a good guess as to why we went with conq/invasion and not constant conquest (the ones who want that aren’t the ones seeding the servers or attempting to keep them populated, because they have an official server already which is effectively the same experience, just with slower respawns and server refresh rate.)
Same could be said for the 32 and 64. People who join that just want to play those modes for the most part, they don’t wanna deal with tanks and helis on 32, otherwise they’d just play the 127 official.

It is what it is, officials only vote conquest.. not all people want to play conq.. servers have to adapt to not lose their players that keep the servers populated, and those same players don’t want to go back to conquest loops (otherwise they join the large official server)

And all community servers in those sizes don’t ban any maps. At most maybe limit modes and decrease spawn times (so its not 24/7 conquest loops, which most people on smaller sizes dont want)

Obligatory “wow people actually like playing different things? Who would have guessed?” but you and I already knew this angel
And before anyone argues this isn’t the case - explain to me why we have numerous people from other regions willing to come to bobs solely to play domi/frontline despite the obvious disadvantage with ping, and having the option of playing in their own region on conq
I get what the officials are supposed to do but they fall short due to lack of variety, and it shouldn’t shock anyone that playing waki conq/sandy inf conq on a loop isn’t fun to the average person

Yeah I remember there were always a small % of conq people complaining they couldn’t force everyone else to play conq, and now I noticed the region died out when it became conq loops, alongside the official being how it is (crashes + ends up being laggy because it doesn’t do a daily reset like the community server did iirc.)
Kinda like how NA/EU is now, funnily enough

The problem people from SA had at one point (from what I noticed back then in discussions revolving the servers in that region anyways) is that it was only frontline that was ever played, which would probably also factor into why they’re holding off on it (people want variety basically)

If you think it’s going too far in chat bob’s server has a mod mail system in which you can contact their mods and they’ll look into chat logs/voice. (Ofc recording interactions for reporting purposes does help them too.)

💀 brother there’s literally no grooming that I can see, at most it’s just goofy chat. I and other bob regulars can vouch. Also as cleo said this “sus chat” happens on official servers too. Not exclusive to a single community one
