Professor recommendation for BSD
Oooo. Get Marcel 100% for BTP. Hina is.. meh, but Marcel is just godly.
Ronald burnon is not very great. Shahdad - I heard things about him from other students here, I think he was not great
Other names I don't recognise. For the unknowns I recommend checking ratemyprofessors.com

Professor recommendation for BSD
BTP is the one that matters the most. Do you have a list of ones available?

Some online teachers don't care though and it's fine if you don't attend

No, it depends on the teacher. Synchronous means you have to attend. But it's online. So you have to show up in the online call, basically

Can i have classes with only 5 minutes in between.
Personally, for me it would be perfect, since there is a gap of Wednesday to sleep. The two last classes you have on Thursday are the same one basically - it's just a single long class.
I think this is good.

It's okay. 2nd semester is when it hits hard.
Well, it depends on your way of life. If you tend to work well in bursts of hard work, and then chill - it's perfect. It also depends on how far you live. If you live far - then this approach makes sense, since travel time would take too much. But if you're close enough, then it doesn't matter as much

I think I had a semester with a day like this myself, with IRL classes. It was okay, actually. Since I was amongst people in the same exact situation, and the profs were understanding if someone was late, or was eating in class (some dislike it tho)

It'll be tough, but is possible. IRL, or online, it's enough time to come to class, you won't be the only one like this. Guess you won't be able to fit in lunch in the middle. Take in mind, the last one of that lecture will be tough - you'll have no brains left. If it's an important class, I'd not recommend it.

Good 2 choices so far. Besides those, recommending the second open source class. Computer vision is good too.

OSD700 - Open Source Development Project
Maybe the most useful course at all (OOP is a strong competitor tho)
The closest you get to an actual work environment. You get relevant skills, you can put it in portfolio, you get to actually manage people as a junior and you have freedom to choose what you want to work on.
OSD600 -
Open Source Development Very hard, but very useful. It was terrible, but it was an experience I had to go through to overcome my fears to get to confidence. Also portfolio, freedom and relevant skills. CVI620 -
Computer Vision The topic is cool, you get to work with python, course is structured and had a good difficulty curve. Solid course, I actually learned something.

A question for the pass outs, working in the industry
Currently - yes. There are too many juniors/mid levels and not enough jobs. Which seems to be more like a temporary effect after covid.
Yes, you get the most through references. Degrees - yea, right now with the market, they do look at degrees, but the most degrees get you are those first co-op job positions through internal job lists. Projects get you jobs too, but depends which jobs - recruiting has to be done by a developer probably, not an HR person. You could also get in through open source contributions.
Tech stacks nowadays are mostly React for front, .Net/Java for back. A lot of obsolete technology in the jobs, since the largest companies stayed around for a long time now.

I only transferred credits within Seneca, and they were very charitable with it. Not sure about credits from other places though
