Dualsense controller not working (Bazzite Gnome Desktop)
The dmesg does not list anything for me, but the input list looks fine I think. Although I have to admit, most things do not mean anything to me 😛

Dualsense controller not working (Bazzite Gnome Desktop)
I am using Bazzite-Gnome on my desktop and have a Dualsense controller, so I have tried to reproduce your issues, except for remapper, as I don't use that. I tried reproducing it wired and over bluetooth, as I am unsure if the issues are only seen over bluetooth or also wired. - The trackpad moves the cursor as expected - Steam big picture recognises the controller inputs as well - Steam big picture shows the playstation icons when the controller is connected. - It even reconnects automatically after I turn it off an on again, which used to be an issue iirc. If you did not mention Fedora Silverblue, I would actually have suggested a hardware issue, since I could not reproduce the issues... I use a simple bluetooth adapter (probably an ASUS BT500) so not a laptop internal adapter, which could be relevant. --- Can you try in the terminal, juyst in case it helps: bluetoothctl and then followed by devices and post the result. Then we can see how the bluetooth driver sees your dualsense. For me it returns:
$ bluetoothctl
# devices
Device 7C:66:EF:7F:2B:FE DualSense Wireless Controller
$ bluetoothctl
# devices
Device 7C:66:EF:7F:2B:FE DualSense Wireless Controller

Automatic updating fails, but manually it works fine
Thanks for the suggestions Artan. Unfortunately after doing the steps, the original error as described in OP is still occurring. The command sudo topgrade --config /usr/share/ublue-update/topgrade-system.toml does not give any reference anymore to a breaking change, which I think is a good thing that it is now passed this. However, both the timer and manually starting the service give this generic error as described in OP. So it seems that this was not the root cause of the issue; or one of multiple. (and yes, I did restart after running the topgrade command, forgot to mention that)

8bitdo Adapter 2 does not work in Bazzite 3.5
Marked it as solved, as it is most likely an upstream issue and replugging does fix the issue temporarily.

8bitdo Adapter 2 does not work in Bazzite 3.5
Not sure what component handles this, and why this replugging is necessary suddenly, but I can then just assume this is not an issue created by bazzite itself.

8bitdo Adapter 2 does not work in Bazzite 3.5
I did some testing and it keeps working pretty consistently by just rebooting. However, when I freshly connect it (while powered off) it seems to need a replug once booted

Weird, I am using them for multiple weeks on the systems and I never had to unplug them before

hmmm, replugging the adapters already did the trick.

RPM file install
Found this by coincedence looking for my own displaylink issue (bluefin-surface actually). Just if it helps, this dock has a known issue: https://github.com/displaylink-rpm/displaylink-rpm?tab=readme-ov-file#hardware-specific-behavior Edit: and there is another bug already, so just for completeness: "DisplayLink not working on Dell D6000 Dock"

How do I prevent Bazzite from turning off/going to sleep.
For Gnome go to settings -> Power -> Power Saving Options. There is also the 'caffeine' extension, so you can only turn it off for specific and/or running applications (like when sunlight is active).

Did you try one of the beta builds of Proton Elemental? Last week I tried the game and for me it only worked with bleeding edge beta. (this was on desktop bazzite, not a deck. But was wondering if this could help you)
