Are CSS Variables Bad?
I won't name & shame, but there's one website I go to kind of frequently that has like 15 shades of almost the same color of "gray so light it's almost white but not exactly" and like I want them to hire me so I can clean up their colors and then quit....

Control CSV CSS z-index.
(z-index is one of the most elusive css concepts, I wrote a blog post/article explaining it and I'm still not 100% sure I understand it correctly )

if that's the only css on the element, then it's probably because it's not positioned. add
position: relative

personally I use the python program
wal
to make color palettes -- I take a bunch of pictures I like whose colors kinda fit the vibe, and run them thru wal
and see if I get something to work with9 replies
