I'm happy to attempt the re-install and collect logs... I just need a bit of hand-holding in that regard, since I don't see any means of collecting logs during the install process.

The exact error I'm getting when installing (both now on the KDE and Gnome versions): 
The following error occurred while installing the payload. This is a fatal error and installation will be aborted.

The command 'ostree admin instutil set-kargs-rhgb quite root=UUID=[uuid here] rw' exited with the code 1.

To just do a sanity check, I've installed Fedora KDE on my device successfully. I was thinking it was the usb device if both failed. Moreover, I tried BTRS and a standard filesystem layout. I mirrored the standard system layout for the Fedora install.

The Gnome version downloads anywhere between 200 - 350 mbps. I have 2gb net for reference. The 1mpbs isn't an ISP issue.

Try downloading the Desktop/AMD/No option. Wait for the download to finish. See if you can reproduce, please.
