FYI, I found the BIOS switch on my device. flipped it, and rebooted, and now I'm seeing 3100mhz without LACT... I wasn't previously... strange.

facinating. what card are you using? and what monitoring app is this? I've got a Gigabyte AORUS card with a huge cooler (and advertising 3.1ghz speeds), but noticed that without undervolting, it maxes out 2600mhz. you mentioned something about two BIOSes? wondering if the windows drivers are what allows it to go to 3.1ghz?

given there are several of us having this issue, I don't think it's a hardware issue, but more likely a driver issue that will likely/hopefully be resolved in the coming months

do you happen to be undervolting or overclocking? this happens to me as well when I am undervolting over a certain level, and only in certain games.

been definitely having this issue with freezes when using LACT to undervolt... but here's the thing: some games never lock (Forza Horizon 5), despite getting clocks around 3200/3300 consistently, while others do often within an hour (The Last of Us Part II). given it's variable by game, I think it's less of a hardware issue and more likely a driver issue to be resolved?

yeah, my 9070xt system never wakes from sleep... went through this for like a year with my 7800 card early on, and it was eventually fixed to be like 80% reliable at waking.

I'm using my 7090xt pretty successfully for gaming with egpu... as noted some occassional freezes, RT is difficult, etc.
