Does it make any sense to wear ties?

the answer is within yourself. do you like how ties look? if yes, you should wear them. I think I'm the only person in my friend group and workplace that I have seen wear ties, but I wear them semi-frequently because I like how they look.

Inspo pictures would be very helpful here, there are many directions you could go. If you want to look around in #waywt and #inspiration and finding some examples might help. There's also the guides in #fashion-guides , including the basic wardrobe guide, which has solid (if opinionated) recommendations on basics in the general direction of workwear/ivy/etc styles

Uniqlo I think tends to be the best at that low price point, not usually recommended to go for aliexpress/amazon clothes or anything. That's not to mention thrifting though, which is very commonly done in here and would be worth checking out if budget is an issue

200 sounds like a reasonable amount to me too, probably would not be smart to go over that for a first pair anyway

When clothes are a little see through

I actually have those undershirts but the point of those is to blend in with your skin anyway, so on the outside it will look like skin showing through a little bit, so the lesson here is that I need to bust the bad preconceived notion

I agree with the shoes kinda griefing, they really dominate the outfit visually since the rest of the fit is less bright. works a bit better with the jacket but even then. also could just be me but there's something I'm not liking about the fit of the shirt, kinda looks like it fits slimmer around the chest but with slouchier sleeves in the pic, or maybe it's the cuff. I do like the pattern though.
