I'm assuming the resolution is delete the out of date version, and move the exe out of the subdir.

I'm having a weirdly similar issue. I open SMM, it closes, then reopens. The SMM exe in C:\Users-\AppData\Local\Programs\Satisfactory Mod Manager shows version 3.0.0, but the exe inside C:\Users-\AppData\Local\Programs\Satisfactory Mod Manager\Satisfactory Mod Manager shows 3.0.3
