All mods are giving me a "Plugin failed to load because module could not be found error"
oh, must have been from when I had the downgraded 0.8 version when 1.0 modding wasn't working. (this bot is amazing, wow 🤯)

did I miss some step or should I just remember to launch the game from the .exe and not from the mod manager?

TUTORIAL: how to downgrade to update 8 (assuming you want to still do mods) WORKS FOR STEAM ONLY.
So, I was able to successfully downgrade and boot the game on Update 8. I installed some mods using the Mod Manager, but when I tried launching the game from the mod manager, this prompted Steam to update the game and it is impossible to cancel it 🤦🏻
Now I'm waiting for the update to end to delete the files and copy and paste the files from the depot folder again. uuurgh.

in case it is relevant, I went to my Steam folder and there is no "content" folder there.
