fps
For solving this issue try this steps:
. disable all the antivirus while playing valorant
. Update the window & your graphics driver
. Disable start up apps
. Disable Vsync
.Try capping your fps to your monitor hz
. If you play at full-screen try playing on windowed full-screen/windowed mode. If you play on windowed mode play on full-screen mode.
. Disable Xbox game bar
. Turn on game mode
. Choose your power plan to high performance
. Disable "Record what happened" in windows settings then gaming then capture and disable this option.
I also faced the same issue if your issue still doesn't solve make a ticket on valorant support.
Also it can't be issue of your ram.
Also one last thing go in GeForce experience and then go on valorant then details option then at right side you will see a button optimise at just right side of optimise button you will see a small button click on it and then a bar will come take that bar to full left and hit apply it will optimise valorant for performance instead of quality.

Should I cap my fps to hz of my monitor
You should cap your fps to your monitor hz if your fps is suddenly dropping if you get 300 fps it's good but if your fps suddenly drop or if your game is lagging then you should cap your fps to your monitor hz.
