Steam Compatibility Tool Failed Error when starting Any Steam Game

resolved by moving all games and steam runtimes to a new storage drive on Steam, uninstalled every single one then removing the storage drive in Steam. Restart Steam and then redownload the games, and the Steam Linux runtimes downloaded finally. Thanks for the suggestions

tried rebasing to bazzite stable, rpm-ostree reset, rebasing back to deck, and deleting them manually before verifying several games. can't get these runtimes to redownload at all. many thanks for your response, giving up on this for now. was working perfectly fine a few days ago, no idea how this even broke in the first place\

launched steam through terminal and tried launching a game with the error, this was the output

gonna try running ujust fix-reset-steam and have another look at the runtimes. I was not looking at those before, but i see even that is having some issues

that’s what I thought too, but it happens in several titles, despite verifying each of them I’m afraid. I verified the linux runtimes but it said 0 files verified

I have to run this for it to actually start, as well. Clicking sunshine doesn't immediately open it, but restarting the service then it does

/usr/bin/env systemctl enable --u sunshine
/usr/bin/env systemctl stop --u sunshine
/usr/bin/env systemctl start --u sunshine

very weird, sunshine/moonlight used to work like it was supposed to on GNOME image for me and I have a friend on a ROG Ally doing the same

eGPU only getting PCIe 1.1 (2.5 GT/s)

reporting back that this worked like a charm after following the guide. Allowed my eGPU to be detected in LACT too, even though mission center saw it, lact didn't. LACT also reports 8 GT/s now. Thank you.

eGPU only getting PCIe 1.1 (2.5 GT/s)

I’m going to try Hikari’s written guide and see if I can figure it out. Checked ‘sudo lspci -vv’ and it’s indeed saying 2.5 GT. I should note that I recently switch to bazzite-deck-stable from bazzite-gnome desktop image; this was not a problem with usb4 eGPU on the win 4 but it is on the deck image for some reason.
