type the command he told you next time the game freezes again and send it here so people can help debug the issue
frame drops are also probably because of your hardware and game which you should list too. Like what your computer specs are and what game

Fullscreen mode Freezes frame on Vulkan games
since this seems to be a common issue, as a workaround I've just been auto hiding the taskbar, and hiding title bar to sort of fake the fullscreen effect without a taskbar showing

since doing that though powercontrol desktop is now reading igpu temp again instead of my egpu temp so i've just been using it that way for now

this was happening to me too when i opened steam alongside powercontrol desktop, this may not be good solution for you because of gamemode but to fix it i ended up running
ujust fix-reset-steam and then uninstalling all plugins from steam big picture mode(i use desktop bazzite image so i figured i did not need)257 replies

i dont remember it using igpu temp sensor when first using the tool, coulda sworn it's always been reading the cpu temp since using it past couple months 🤔

I can adjust the curve it does indeed affect the win mini fan, so I can see it's working. but I'm wondering if a gpu update caused this? I don't think it used to do that until recently, the 7800 XT is on oculink
