Steps to Mitigate High Ping
Issue: Currently hosting a server for a bunch of friends which are mostly located somewhere in the USA or the West Coast, but there are a few people in the EU like Romania and they get absolutely shafted by bad ping even though we both have really great internet. We're talking like ping so high that it's 500+ and into the thousands sometimes, it really doesn't seem like it's from just distance either, and it's causing mobs to teleport a lot on their end in a server where everything is tweaked to be harder.
Any solution is appreciated, ip tunneling like hamatchi, plugins, tweaking network settings in OS, custom java flags, etc.
