Preloading

Is there a way to preload an entire world so I don’t have to leave my PC on all night just to generate 1,000 chunks? I’d like to create a world that’s fully preloaded, allowing me to explore and play normally—like any open-world game—without needing to wait for chunks to load as I go?

For example it took me a whole night leaving my CPU at 100% usage just to load 1k chunks I want to join and have everywhere In the world to be loaded Or something similar

you cant expect it all to load instantly especially with a worldgen pack like that

World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up: Install Noisium, Lithium and C2ME(DH 2.3.0+). These mods can improve generation speed by a bit, but it will still not be fast. Increase CPU Load in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU. To see if Distant Generator is really working or not: 1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive settings of CPU Load. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background. 2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering and Show World Gen Queue to True. Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)

If that were to be possible we'd all already be using it thats just how minecraft works, you have to generate it first since every seed is different

Pre-generating the entire Minecraft world would require petabytes of storge But it is possible if you let your PC run for the next millennium and have couple petabytes of SSD storage Pre-generating a more reasonable 1024 RD is also possible and will take ~24 h (depending on the CPU load, CPU and worldgen) If there was a way to to generate everything instantly, we would already be doing so. There are some super performant worldgen and optimisation mods that can generate 1024 DH RD in minutes, but some are no longer updated, some are yet unreleased and some have drawbacks that reduce quality Big Globe with Hyper Speed Generator enabled in its config and N-sized LOD generation enabled in DH config combined with Noisium, C2ME, Lithium, ModernFix and ScalableLux is one such combo that generates world in minutes Overworld Two if it would be updated could replace Big Globe with a pretty good speed, though slower, but without any quality drawbacks. RTF v0.0.7+ with its GPU acceleration is faster then the LOD conversion itself so when it releases, alongside the same set of performance mods, it will probably be able to generate full quality LODs super fast, but it isn't released yet Pre-generated chunks and LODs load pretty quickly Unless you are flying with elytra with on a low end CPU, everything should keep up with you, so there isn't much reason to pre-load everything Pre-loading the MC world would require not only petabytes of drive storage, but also petabytes of RAM and VRAM To then run it at a slide show FPS you would need a NASA super computer
