Rat Rig 500 Hybrid Y-Axis jumping and loud noise
I have built a few RR V-Core 4 500s but have never encountered this before. The X-axis runs smoothly, but the Y-axis moves in the right direction with many jumps and noises. I have pulled apart the motor mounts and checked if there are any issues with the bearings, but it looks all fine. I have no explanation for it and need some help to sort this out. Any help is appreciated.

your hybrid steppers are wrong direction
one or both
its a bit tricky to find out which one.
you can tell it to move Y back and watch which of the Y Hybrid steppers is moving the wrong way and skipping
ideally you would loosen the belts now so it doesnt actually skip
You Mean the actuall stepper drivers or motors?
the config
you need to reverse one or both
OK. I will chake that in a minute.
yes technically you can also reverse the coils on the plug but a ! in the config is easier
Is wear s it was created by the configurator.
anyway I wil lcheck it now
steppers/cables are not always 100% the same direction
you just need to overwrite the dir pin direction in config
You are a live saver. Works 100%
I just was asuming since it says in the documentation it don't matter the cabling aslong you use the motors and cable that it comes wiht it.
@Mitsuma Thanks you very much my friend
