[Japan] Japanese Jean Brands and picture examples requested
Hi everyone, I opened a thread a week or so ago about Japanese denim/jean brands. I've taken a few of those onto my list: Oni, Iron Heart Jeans. Japan Blue
But I just got my first pair of Naked and Famous and after looking at their website I'm really in love with the different types of jeans they have. Not sure how to describe it but they've got ones that look two tone, zigzag, 'slubby'. ..
I'm going to Japan within a week and I want to know some examples of jeans you guys might want to buy (so that I can go look at them myself). Or any in particular brands/models that you think I'd like.
(I got the Peace & Love Strong Guy, I love the way the denim looks)
Thanks,
Walker

Kapital Century Denim
N&F does some unique fabrics but I will caution that a lot of their cuts are dated or straight up wonky.
Century denim is a good one. Oni Concrete Denim is cool.
Yoko sakamoto denim
Look up the denim from websites like Self edge, Blue Owl, Blue in Green as well as Japanese sites like Hinoya, Okayama Denim, Denimio, Bears Tokyo etc. and see what you like.
what is a wonky/dated cut? I ask because when I see jeans all I see are skinny<->wide in a spectrum these days, and it's hard personally for me to see people messing that up
N&F does shorter rises, which are seen as a holdover from the skinny jean era where they got started
Oh yeah I'm not a huge fan of the shorter rise I got, even with the Strong Guy which has the highest rise
I wonder then if Japan has higher rises
Errrr, well as a tertiary question if the NF rises are a little small for myself, what brands would have higher rises? (I like it when pants or shorts sit at my natural waist.
The Weird and Easy Guy fits have really extreme and unflattering tapers.
True Guy and Strong Guy are decent though.
i am strong guy ...
:NotLikeThis: IM A STRONG GUY

Strongly recommend the following Japanese brands, some of the best for high end details and pretty widely available in Japan (at least when I went pre-COVID):
* Samurai
* Pure Blue Japan
* Oni
* The Strike Gold
* Studio D'Artisan
* Momotaro
Go to Okura.
I was told to go to Okura but you know what I might just follow that dude's roadmap. I dont know how into denim I am into but this may let me get closer to the fashion core that I missed when I lived there.
