Overhangs not being see through
Is there an option I am missing or are you just not meant to see under/through overhangs on DH?

What is the y level of the ocean in that world?
Try decreasing cave culling height to the lowest point of the ocean floor
Or disable cave culling
Ocean is at 0

There's no caves in this world, and I've noticed with skyscrapers with overhangs that they look weird too, I'll see if this fixes that problem as well
