chunks loading to slow
Can I somehow improve the speed for loading chunks? I would like to make a video with this world but I can't really do it because the world glitches out

You can try decreasing vanilla RD, installing C2ME (if absent) and settings the Sodium threads to the max and disabling always defere chunk updates
Though IDK how much the last 2 will help...

World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium, Lithium and C2ME(DH 2.3.0+). These mods can improve generation speed by a bit, but it will still not be fast.
Increase
CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)Check the clip, I am not talking about generating the LODs
If those real chunks need to be generated, Noisium, Lithium and C2ME will still help
Or even loaded
Okay ty, I'll try
I had this issue with a pack I was making and installing C2ME basically solved the entire issue

Oh c2me is not for 1.21 :/
You can also reduce teh overdraw prevention to make DH cover more of the vanilla terrain
It is
Modrinth
Concurrent Chunk Management Engine (Fabric) - Minecraft Mod
A Fabric mod designed to improve the chunk performance of Minecraft.
Oh nvm, I didnt find it because I only typed c2me and on forge there is only 1.21.2 and above
It works better now but this still happens
Where do I do that with sodium?
I'm checking right now, give me a minute
Video Settings

> Chunk Update Threads
and Always Defer Chunks Updates
I don't remember it those are native Sodium or Sodium Extra settings thoughIt worked now without changing something again but I'll still try that tomorrow. Thank you for the support!
