Minecraft slows down until chat message is sent
I am having an issue where running beta 2.3.0 on my client and joining a server that does not have DH installed makes my FPS decrease very consistently until 12FPS, until a message is sent in chat by either someone else, me or the server/command and my FPS is instantly restored to 144fps. I've noticed that this is an issue with this DH beta because I've only encountered it with the DH beta installed, even with all of my settings turned to potato mode

These are all the commands the Distant Horizons server has and what they do!
/binary or /binarysearch shows you how to do a binary search.

Performance mods mostly. But downgrading DH or disabling it without changing anything of my other mods makes the problem go away, therefore I'm assuming it's a DH 2.3 thing because DH 2.2 works fine too

Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
Do you have dynamic fps mod?
Maybe try removing that
