Is grass not rendering in LODs intended?
Howdy fine folks, I hope no one has asked this before, I did a search and couldn't find anything. Just to get some pertinent information out of the way, I am using:
- Forge 1.21.1
- Distant Horizons 2.3 (V2.3.1-b-dev)
- Shaders (Photon 1.1)
The game looks and runs great, I've got my settings fully dialed in now, and I am super happy with things. The new server side mod works super well so far too!
Here's my question...is it intended for near distance LODs to NOT have grass rendered? Most of the time, I don't notice, but there are instances (Like on the plains) where it's distractingly bad (The abrupt grass cut off).
I have a lot of mods running (Including some grass connected texture mods/resource packs), but I don't know if this is a glitch, or if it's intended for the grass to not render. I've attached an image to show what I am talking about.

thats intended, dh can only render lods as full blocks or larger, rendering all the grass would be a bunch of random blocks in the fields and look ugly
(uglier than not rendering the grass)
You can enable back rendering of grass in the settings
Set blocks to ignore to none
I'm under the impression that there is no texture in the LODs, which would mean it just renders the grass as a block with the average color of the grass texture, correct?
I have the "tinted" mode on, which should tint the grass blocks with the darker grass color that's above it already, but that doesn't seem to do anything, or maybe I am misunderstanging what that setting actually means.
