Loading LODS without lagging
Is there a viable way to play and have the LODS load without stuttering or having major frame drops? When I join a new world I just wait 10-15 minutes to have a good amount of lods loaded in before doing anything. This way I don't lag while playing

changing the quality probably wont fix the lagging, unless the lagging is caused by insufficient ram

I'd say i have a decent cpu and a good amount of ram allocated to mc
You can decrease the CPU load
and the quality setting does not work right?

I have a ryzen 7 5800x thats like mid tier ig
yea thats a fine cpu
I have 8gb allocated
i used to hvae 16 but some said thast was overkill
yea 8 is probably enough
16 is indeed overkill, unless you go crazy with the settings
So a good render setting would be
whatever is under aggressive

Do you stutter or have drops while lods are trying to load?
depends on the quality preset
Last time I asked about this setting I was told it does not actually function
Thats why every time I change it goes back to custom for some reason

thats a known issue. it does not actually change under the hood

and then obviously im assuming the lower the cpu load the slower it generates the lods
yes, but the more CPU resources it lefts for the game to not stutter
