Issue with Caves
I'm having an odd issue with caves where these "pillars" appear in the LOD, and there's no geometry there that matches up with them for. I've disabled Cave Culling, as well as biome_ambient_light_coloring disabled in Alex's Caves config options. The columns appear to originate at the "Ambersol" light sources inside the crystals on the roof. See video:

Is there anything I can change settings wise to disable this?

It seems like Alex's Caves is doing something weird with invisible light sources that extend below the ambersol blocks. I think that might be the root of the issue...

Setting DH to not render non-colliding blocks fixed the yellow beams, but now I'm seeing a weird... Idk how to describe it. Let's see if this gif uploads...

Solution
Have you disabled cave culling?
Yes.
I guess try increasing vertical quality, but to be honest the issue looks weird, so idk what it is
Tried that too, no change.
Please disregard; the issue was indeed Cave Culling, which got turned back on when I cycled through the quality presets on the main options page.
