IDEX - Nidec and Sanyo 4028 fans - different rpm
Hi, i just assembled V4-300- IDEX but in the package there were different 4028 fans. Nidec and Sanyo. During the commissioning part i found out that they have different rpms. Just from my feel T0 when has 40%, T1 has to be at 25% to be same ( just for compare )
EDIT: I found out in fan spec. that Nidec has 1,61A, Sanyo has 1,3A.
Any ideas how to solve it ?
Thanks a lot RR team.

What are you trying to solve?
Iβm trying to solve the difference between those two fans. I mean if I set T1 fan and T2 to 40% you can hear and feel the difference of the air flow.
If I set 40% to T1 fan, to achieve same air flow in T2 I have to set it to 25%, if i would set it to 40% like T1 there is quite big difference of airflow between those two fans.
I'm not too familiar with idex, can you not set the fan speed separately?
Air flow, noise and rpm are practically the same on both.
The main difference is the sanyo denky ramp up time is way faster than nidec.
The best practice is to use the same fan on both toolheads. And I would go with sanio denky just because of that ramp up time. It gets to the desired speed way faster than nidec. And that is quite important on IDEX machines.
You can set separatly the fan speed, thats what im saying. T0 was set to 40% and it doesnt have the same airflow as the T1 also set to 40% fan speed.
If put hand under the nozzle i can easily feel the air flow, and defenitly its not the same.
So either set T1 higher, or get a matching fan
lol, thats quite non sence
bye, good luck
( dif. speed)
man i didnt bought one machine, i bought quite a lot.. soo please dont be that rude ok. I just need to solve the problem
The tik offered advice and you are ignoring it. That's not being rude. This is a community discord, we aren't ratrig
and no solution is not to set diff. speed on each fan. and if you spent 10k euro on those machine a would like to see how you gonna spent next money to get matching fans.
You could contact ratrig and ask for them if they will send you a different fan or exchange it
Im not ignoring it. I want to say thats solution if you have one printer not more.
and also i would not be happy to have this solution if i have only one printer...
So maybe i expect some kind of advice if there is option to set up in printer.cfg to have it same
Good advice would be to ask before buying different fans. It is not TheTikβs fault that you did it and have more than one machine. There is only 1 person to blame π
But you can lower the fan power of the strongest fan on printer.cfg
Fans were shipped directly from RR package,so i didnt configure that setup π
Just use
max_power: 0.9 or whatever and it will lower the fan power
Thank you for helpfull advice π I will try this π
Do you really want me to believe they sent you a fan that is almost double the price just because? π
yop,
i also dont understand this.
The kits are nidec only. Sanyo is a personal choice in the listing.
no idea why
thats weird.. hm
