I keep crashing when I try to run DH w/ sodium on 1.21.4
It tells me to install indium, but there isn't a version I can find for 1.21.4. I have the latest version of sodium and it says that it's incompatible. Does anyone have a fix? (Most people online are saying indium got merged into sodium so you no longer need it)
I didn't see anything helpful in the FAQ, I might just be blind though.

Not having fabric api also triggers the missing indium message iirc
Are you using lunar?
You need to use Sodium 0.6.0+ that has Indium merged into itself, so the original, official version form Modrinth
Lunar (other MC client can do that too) forces you to use their Sodium that does not have Indium
yes
So am I unable to use DH on lunar?
I tried using the latest off of modrinth and uploaded it to lunar and it didnt work
/clients
Hacked clients, PVP clients, optimization clients, etc. are problematic for multiple reasons, particularly when it comes to mod compatibility. You may run into issues like rendering glitches or crashes due to their built-in modifications to Minecraft. They are unsupported by Distant Horizons and are not recommended. Instead, we recommend using a launcher that does not modify Minecraft itself, such as Prism Launcher, Modrinth App, or even the vanilla launcher from Mojang. You can find a list comparing trusted launchers at https://mc-launcher.tayou.org/.
Lunar will just ignore it and still load its Sodium version
Bro thats so stupid
I think there is a workaround as 1 other user mentioned something about it, I think you can mess with internal Lunar files to disable some of the forced mods, but:
1. Lunar built-in functionality might break, so you will lose the one last (still bad) reason to use Lunar
2. No one here knows the workaround so go ask Lunar support if such a thing exists
Yes it is,
don't use Lunar
I only use it cause the built in mods are easy to use lmao
I cant mod for the life of me
Whats a good client I can use that wont tweak out with mods?
There is a slight difference between MC client and MC launcher
The difference is that clients include mods with them, e.g.
Lunar
with its Sodium
All clients include some mods, and each of them might break something
Launchers like Vanilla Launcher
, Modrinth App
and Prism
might still help you install and manage mods, but do not force you to use any of them
You can try Modrinth APP
It has nice GUI, is easy to use, has built in mod browser and mod update buttons

sweet ill try that
thanks
