Triplanar Decal

Something inspired to extile X-Decal but that works in path trace render too.

After many research I've found that path tracing has no possibilities to render triplanar decals (only standard). Maybe would be a working alternative to use a layered material (not vertex) that can put a triplanar texture on top of the other layers? This texture could be placed with offset values an no tiling repetition.

my bad...very confused request.. I try to be more clear: It would be possibile that the "on top" material of the blended material would be triplanar? In this way, if we could load an alpha texture on that "top triplanar material", we could have a "triplanar decal" that works in path trace too.

Yee something like that might be possible in the future🤔 I have added a link to this thread in the request so the devs can check it and send follow up questions when/if we can look into this in the future! Thanks!
