Lighting for shadows messed up
For lod chunks, the lighting is messed up specifically for when there are shadows or dark spots, the mod just turns everything black and considers the entire area as black.

should look somewhat close to this

does this also happen with the nightly from #links-n-downloads ?
yea its weird still
this is what its supposed to look like

this is what it looks like

It's probably just how DH's lighting works
Which takes a few shortcuts n stuff
You can try increasing the vertical quality or the whole quality preset
still doesnt seem to fix the odd black spots
