What do you take as a personal item on flights?
Thinking about getting a new bag for this since the duffle I usually use is getting worn and is technically too big anyways.
Not necessarily looking for reqs just wanna see what people tend to take.

this timbuk2 backpack that i really like bc it has a laptop sleeve, but also can open up like a suitcase
I’ve been taking a duffle that I could probably squish down to the right size but it’s too big
i used to one-bag it in this thing until i realized i like wearing more than 2 outfits at a time
I have a timbuk2 bag as well but mine is probably slightly too big and gets me in trouble sometimes
I also pack like a fucking freak though
Allegedly the limit is generally 18” x 16” x 8” but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it enforced
i have a travel backpack that fits over the suitcase handle and maxes out the personal item size
never had to check it
Budget airlines do
Console / laptop, sketchbook, pencil case with markers n shit, headphones, hand wipes, and i leave space to fit in my sweater
i think my timbuk2 is prob a little small bc its just regular backpack size -- never had to check it
