Help choosing parts for beginner
I am a beginner and this is my first build. I haven’t soldered anything before so i’m def doing the PCB, 3d printed cases and covers, no-solder hotswap, choc switches. I am unsure on if i should buy the batteries from typeractive bc they seem kinda small. Is there larger batteries i can choose so i only have to charge like monthly? are the nicenanos needed or is there a cheaper part? it’s getting a little expensive for me so i would prefer if i was able to get a cheaper version. also can i add the niceviews in at a later date or do i have to buy and solder em in now

Hey there! Happy to help you get started.
For a beginner build, your plan is great! No-solder hotswap is the way to go.
The batteries we sell are small, but they're selected to fit inside the case. You can check out the battery guide for tips on sourcing larger batteries.
The nice!nanos are needed for wireless functionality. There are no cheaper alternatives that will work.
You can add nice!views later, but it's easier to install them during the initial build.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

Installing the batteries is a simple but particular step. This guide will go over the positioning and installation of them.
Maybe I am breaking some rules, but I can’t bare AI spreading miss information. There are alternatives to nice!nano - https://github.com/joric/nrfmicro/wiki/ALternatives
I use it, and it works good for me. But it might have worse connection then original, “unfixed version” could arrive (there is several revisions), which has high power consumption, and this could not be fixed without soldering skills. So don’t recommend if you want to buy something which just works (for me it did just work, but might not for you). But it is a lot cheaper.

is there cheaper alternatives to the no-solder headers as well? it’s my first build so i don’t have any soldering stuff and would hate to have to buy them just for the headers since the pcb is already mostly soldered
typeractive sells headers seperatly, so you could buy just headers. I tried to find alternative, but come to conclusion that it is better to buy from them, as at least you would receive support if something wont work as expected.
I just already had nice!nano alternative on hands, when ordered corne, so used them, and shared experience.
