Can’t figure out how to enable nozzle wipers
Just finished building my v4 500 Hybrid (No hybrid belts installed yet) and I can’t figure out how to enable the nozzle wipers. I’ve been trying to dial in my first layer but I figured the nozzle wipers would have been used before or after printing and they aren’t for some reason. I added the macro in the printer.cfg file to enable it, but it still won’t use the wiper at any point during a print. Any ideas?

Can you share ratos-debug.zip?
I think I may have found my issue. Do I need to add [gcode_macro T0] and then the macro below. So like this…
[gcode_macro T0]
variable_has_front_arm_nozzle_wiper: True
Scratch that. That did not work. Here’s my debug file
That should do the trick
Maybe it is not implemented yet... @Helge Keck ?
not implemented, also only for idex
idea was to move over them when the idex moves to the prime blob position
unfortunately the design is wrong, they are nto high enough
Is there something we can do about it, or just ignore them? My nozzle is gathering plastic before each (attempt to) print. I'm in the phase after assembling, trying to make my printer strat doing what it's supposed to with not much success, yet.
they are actually not really needed. when printing the nozzle cleans itself before printing with the primeblob
if you suffer from excessive oozing then you have yoour hotend probably just way too hot
ABS at 260. I'll try lower at 255.
can you show a photo

This is the test stl for first layer. Somehow it sticks to the bad, but trying a Voron cube is impossible and even causing a layer shift. I think I've tightened the belts too much, hence the shifting, and the nozzle is too close.

is the nozzle clean after the primeblob?
this looks also a bit like adhesion issues
Yes, it starts clean after the blob and the bed sheet is cleaned thoroughly with alcohol after each attempt (which never failed me on my Voron with all the different sheets I had there)
if it starts clean after the blob then the wipers wouldnt help you at all since you are already printing
this sounds like a adhesion issue to me or overextrusion maybe
try to clean the bed with hot water and soap
and maybe your filament profile needs some love with the correct filament and bed temperatures
Thanks, will try that.
