Performance bug - Steam recordings affecting frametime

Hello team. Just updated to the latest version of Bazzite (Feb 6, 2025) and I noticed something weird about my games' performance: every single game was very stuttery. After some basic troubleshooting, I noticed that what was affecting is Steam recording being enabled; however, this was working perfectly fine before updating the system. I have attached a video to show you the issue in action. Regards!

cpu usage spikes to 20%+ with it on even when not gaming so i turned it off. Asked people for an alternative and was recommended GPU Screen Recorder, so I’ve been using that for a bit now

i mean it is new and working out quirks takes time after all, and Valve ain't the fastest at fixing stuff 😄 for now though decent alternatives exist, so we chillin
