Lumin works in only some places

I'm tweaking my graphic with Taj's Graphical overhaul mod. but recently in my build certain places does not light up and stays dark. I know that this mod will process a set amount of lights only at a time and i have set that to max. and when i move to a different location on the Map also and stay in different place for a long time also will not light up the place. Can some one help me with it. attached the screenshot of places that i am in and the light near me are not lighted up and the lights away from me are lighted up. Someone please help me to sort this out.

To be blunt, Satisfactory lighting do be like that. Taj's can raise the limit, yes, but there's still a limit. Packing your factory with dozens of individual projector sources is gonna run into that pretty quickly.

...none of that has any impact on projector culling. The reddit OP even states that his is lit by emissives.

Admittedly, I have no idea what that means, and it sounds like you're a SME. I only suggested because it fixed all my signs used as lights by throwing light much farther and ensuring they also threw light when turned 90°+ from the observer. The picture above was a dark room and the ceiling signs ineffectual without them, just like OP's screenshots.

I will also admit three things: 1) It looks pretty awesome; 2) It will indeed expand the throw of reflected light to a degree; 3) Not an SME; career generalist. Unfortunately, the OP here seems to have used DI's Glow flooring to light their factory. The floor panels contain a very weak emissive panel (like signs), but also have a projector source that forms the majority of their light output (look at the light thrown by them in the fourth screenshot). The core problem then is that Satisfactory culls projector sources quite aggressively (they have a major framerate impact). Not only is there a numerical limit, but the distance at which they are culled is very close to the player. I also suspect that if it were possible to impact the latter appreciably, that Taj would've already done it in their Overhaul mod (as they have done with the numerical limit). Even in that case, it will utterly demolish your framerate. I tried turning Taj's up max once. I have a 7900XTX, and it went from 140fps to <10. I... don't really have that many projector sources either. In retrospect, I also have suspicions about some of the parts in DI's Glass mod that the OP is using for the ceiling. I, too, use it, and I love the aesthetic. But I've also come across some texture/reflection/hard-to-pin-down issues with it that have given me pause in using it more widely.

I haven't tried Taj's mod because it came out after I had applied the engine.ini changes and I was quite happy, plus the mod page admitted there were some instabilities. On the other hand, the engine.ini changes have had no noticeable impact on the performance and I still run every viideo setting at Ultra or its maxed out setting, but I'm also doing just 1920x1200 60Hz on an out of box RTX-4080. A little part of me hopes that CSS eventually embraces Lumen and maybe even does a UE engine upgrade with the post-gaming console release. Good lighting in this game changes the whole dynamic for me.

Come to think of it, looking at the OP's flooring reflections, I suspect that Taj's might incorporate these changes already. But yes, the reddit changes on their own have had no appreciable performance impact in my testing. Taj's is pretty stable these days, but it is certainly not a one-shot. Default's can be spicy on weaker setups (though I suspect yours would fare pretty strongly), and it has a lot of configuration options. Also, from what I've heard, I do believe that we will indeed be getting a UE version update in the coming year.

Yeah, generally using the "default lights" isn't really worth it/recommended. As Covican said, I did incorporate a setting for the Lights System (Max number of lights/Cone distance) but I'm not sure if (and if so, how big) the hard limit set by CSS is. It could be that there is none but I've still capped the maximum light projectors for people who would set it to enormous numbers and complain about their game crashing/not working/(insert any other reason). It could also mean that surface cache needs a reset (overfilled?), but that's just a wild guess as I haven't looked into the "default" light system closely and how it interacts. The engine.ini tweaks provided in the reddit post are not really viable, as all they really do is increase sharpening on reflections - they don't even turn on the screen space reconstruction, which they try to tweak further. And obviously decrease the minimum mesh size for lumen to take into account. TGO/Taj's Graphical Overhaul is pretty stable, even back then it was (except it was my first time modding SF, so I had to give out some kind of warning lol). On a 4080 on FHD it should run without any issues at all, unless doing some megabuilds with lots of lights/emmisives. Since the first release I've added multiple settings for people to customize to their own liking (and their own rigs). I don't plan on quitting modding, so expect further releases with hopefully more tweaks to come:)
