For some reason I can't get any further distance to generate

Latest nightly build as of right now. Server side
can you fly up a bit higher so we can see what's happening in the distance?

In the first screenshot it looks like it's generating fine, but not displaying the chunks. But on the second screenshot it looks like it's working? Hard to see
Second one is when its loaded after a min or so
Its not displaying any chunks any further
Something seems to be up
is there anything noteworthy in the logs? an error or something like that?

there are some errors
but nothing from DH
so i have no idea what the problem might be
Do you run DH? Can I have your config file to try?
you can also delete your own config to reset to default settings
True, just if yours is working wouldn't mind trying it, maybe mine will start working then
The file size on server and client is about 50gb, so 100 total as well
So hoping config would fix it rather than having to start agian

Ok cool. I feel like the issue started when those "skyscrapers" appeared. Does switching to a later nightly release require resetting the map or deleting the chunk files sometimes ?
Normally not no, but you may need to do that to get rid of the pillars
That means leaving pc overnight to generate chunks again I assume?
yea, if the pillars dont go away you may need to do that

No but it did work before, what files should I delete

if you try in a new world you shouldnt have to delete anything. maybe the config file if you'd like to reset to default settings, which is a .minecraft/config/distanthorizons.toml
if you want to delete the LOD files, you can do that at
/lodstored

and i strongly discourage you from deleting chunk files
I've just renamed the server data file so it doesn't see it for the server. And it's not really generating so not sure what's going on
I am going to duplicate my client instance and disable all mods see if that does anyhting

Very small amount of mods now on server and client
Onky terralith, tectonic and terratonic in terms of word gen mods
512 render distance
Can't work out what is wrong

Update to the latest nightly build.
There was an issue we’re generation could get stuck.
Aye brand new world, last night set pregen for 1000 chunks, was at 700 odd this morning done, checked the map and it was quite ast, however could still see the end of map in the distance

What is the minimum amount of chunks to pregen to be able to generate lods where you can't see the edge of the map
You can always see the edge if you’re on high enough mountain
You can try playing with the fog and earth curve to make the transition from LODs to sky/void better
Some worldgen mods look better with 128 or 256 then with 512 or 1024 because they weren’t made with DH in mind
I just use terralith at the moment
I'm going to enable all mods i assume it isn't a mod issue. Then start a new world and update nightly. Hopefully it'll work
Is there a risk of moving to a new nightly breaking the worldgen so only a new world would fix the issue?

Not really, I mean the chance always exist, but the most that should become corrupted are DH LOD DBs and, config file and the DH jar itself
Deleting all 3 should bring back every world that stopped working
