New to blazers, worth keeping?
Long story short I impulse bought a UW blazer to go with pants that I ended returning, now deciding if this should go back.
-My current formality requirements rarely need something between a suit and elevated casual
-that being said, this checks all the boxes of one I’d ideally own (unstructured, navy, relaxed fit)
-does this work with non-business casual fits? Does the jacket itself fit well and how does it jive with that outfit
-not sure what to make of the material composition. Is that par for the course at this price? ($280 CAD)
Sorry for dirty mirror, thanks!

This looks really quite casual for a blazer for the points you mentioned and also cos of its length and patch pockets. You could probably wear it casually a lot easier
I don’t know about the fabric comp, UW is a good brand afaik tho 🤷
button stance seems a little high for my liking but could just be the mirror selfie perspective
dont love what's happening at the back of the collar both buttoned and unbuttoned, but may be because your arm is raised
It's definitely higher than a traditional 2 button, might be the British thing
What are you seeing, how it looks raised/high?
one sec

does this go away if both your arms are by your sides
for the money i would personally rather see if i can find an EG Bedford secondhand or on sale and maybe spend slightly more
or go the other direction for a more traditional unstructured jacket
Theres a bit less gap but still sits at that height
it looks a lot better open than closed
what kind of things do you notice between the two looks
Closed it looks a bit snug on the waist and the button stance/point stands out a little more
I also like the way it drapes better open
it's good for a casual fit (worn with casual things) but is maybe a little short?
could just be the high button stance but a full body shot would help
Nice jacket for going down the pub.
How’s this

length is fine, button stance is a little high but is largely personal preference
i think it looks good
