LODs all pitch black with Shaders
They render completely fine without shaders on, and none of my active mods have incompatibility with DH.
Solution:Jump to solution
ok it is specifically an issue with Enhanced Celestials and Enhanced Celestials Shader Support

You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are usually located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.oh yea my bad
Does it happen on new single player worlds?
yes
i also tested with other shaders, its only complementary reimagined causing this issue
Then it is proibably a complementary issue
dang
Try resetting the shader config to default
Or changinh the complementary version
wait hang on
it does happen with other shaders
the ones i was testing with were just broken lol
this is the same error with Super Duper Vanilla
that also begs the question why are 90% of my shaders just not working at all
ive got 9 installed, only 4 of which work - 2 of those being Complementary, and one of those just deactivating DH when used
Am I correct that these are server logs?
Can you send client logs?
those are the client logs
its what i got from modrinth at least
Those logs do not contain neigther Iris not Optifine
How are you using shaders
iris
i have no idea why the log doesnt have it
lemme try again rq
oh hang on what? i mustve selected the wrong log on modrinth
no idea how my pc got the server log though
???
why is it giving me the server log
i copied my live log
it looks like my client log, its just being mislabeled ig
yes, i have just confirmed that this file is my latest.log, just that the way modrinth labels it for mclo.gs is wrong and it identifies it as a server log. here's the same log just labelled as a client log if you need it ig
can you try finding the smallest number of mods that let you recreate the issue?
sure thing
Solution
ok it is specifically an issue with Enhanced Celestials and Enhanced Celestials Shader Support
i could recreate it with just DH with its requirements, Complementary with its requirements, and Enhanced Celestials with its requirements
that also fixes all the other problems i was having with shaders now that ive removed it
DH does not have any requirements, only the shader support does have the correct Iris version, but shader support is optional
Even that is not correct as it is not DH shader support that requires correct Iris, it is that Iris that started to support DH
