i can hit save config, but the z offset is gone when it finishes the print
Is your printer currently idle?
yes she is
Do the same offset pushes you have listed, then hit save, then save config
I know the instructions say to do it while the print is running, in my experience, it only saves when the printer is idle
Once you do that, start a new print and let me know if that fixes it
ill give her a whirl
i thoght the save next to Z offset was broken?
which is why the save z offset button was add to calibration macros
asking cuz you said hit save i assume you mean the save next to Z offset or do you mean the main one uptop
first this save
did
its restarted my firmware
then this one
yup
so now you should be good
word did it im printing now give me 5 to warm up i should be able to tell
you just a ratrig user or an admin or employee or something?
just a user, I've been sick for the past couple days and this has been keeping me occupied lol
LMAO
im new to rat os but an OG voron user its frustrating finding all the hidden stuff but rat os is packed with features
It is, it's definitely a tinkerers toy, I think its still got a couple months left to really be polished with the vcore 4, but I love the thing.
i see the potential but i am already 3X more time into this than the latest 2.45r2 i built
and it prints like poop
but i keep fucking around with it
we'll get ya there lmao. It's a delicate balance but I've printed stuff better than my friends bambu so I know it's possible
looks good thanks
the first layer looks good?
A LITTLE TOOOO CLOSE but that just a fine tuning issue
but closer for sure is a good thing
perfect, just remember to make the same offset when the printer is idle.
so if you just did +0.01mm just do that again during idle
glad it seems to be remembering
okay why in orca slicer when it changes heads is it enjecting my filament form the smart sensor
*ejceting
most likely it's detecting a "tangle" and is unloading the filament
there is no tangle, but because of the drag on the ptfe tube it's a false trigger
you can either pull the yellow wire from the toolhead board or change it in your printer.cfg
