Endstop dual_carriage still triggered after retract
My V Core 4 400 IDEX was printing yesterday but today I get the error "Endstop dual_carriage still triggered after retract"
The machine is a pre-configured V Core 4 IDEX with BigTreeTech EBB42 V1.2 tool boards on T0 and T1.
Trouble shooting steps taken:
1. Endstop checked for continuity, pass
2. Endstop on T1 swithed with T0, x triggers properly but dual_carriage remained triggered.
3. Wire harness from the endstop to the toolboard checked for continuity, pass
4. Install a new EBB42 V1.2 toolboard on T1 and configuar, no change. Dual_carriage still triggered
5. Able to reflash the T1 toolboard, therefore the USB communication seems fine
6. Searched Discord and Answeroverflow, did not find anything helpful
The image blow shows the toolhead configs for both T0 and T1. On T1 the X endstop shows "false". Is this correct?
Any help/guidance will be much appreciated. Right now this printers is nothing more than a boat anchor.

I swapped the wireharness from T1 to T0 and now X (T0) is triggered so its the wire harness! Now any ideas on where I can get a new wireharness???

I've never messed with IDEX, does
query_endstops
give you all the endstop statuses?Yes, that give the status of the endstops. It is also shown on the "Machine" tab
Is the one that is always triggered NO or NC?
Manually press the switch, see if it makes any difference, break out a multimeter and see if the switch is broken, trace the wires going from the switch to the toolboard...
I believe NO
Yes, I have done that. The swith is fine and the wires are good
so if you press the switch you can see a change in continuity with your multimeter?
yes
if the switch is good and the wires are good then the toolboard is bad. Which is very rare, I'd triple check the wiring, unplug and replug on both ends, gentle tug on the wires to see if they pop out of the housing
I agree. I swapped the tool board for a new one just to make sure it was not the cause. Unfortunately I don't have the connector supplies to rebuild the wire harness. I can swap the T0 wire harness to T1 and see if that helps.
